Carolanne Nelson

Biography

Title: Associate Professor

Education: BSc, General, University of Alberta; BSc, Home Economics, University of Alberta; Ph.D., University of British Columbia

Dr. Nelson completed her BSc (General) in 1986 and her BSc (Home Economics) in 1988 at the University of Alberta, followed by a Dietetic Internship at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC. She worked for a couple of years as a clinical dietitian, then entered graduate school. She completed her Ph.D. in Nutrition at the University of British Columbia in 1999 and then did a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Texas prior to joining the Department of Family and Nutritional Sciences in 2001.
