| Abstract | A prototype 915-MHz microwave unit was designed to rewarm hypothermic piglets. Initial tests indicate that it is possible to rewarm piglets successfully from deep stages of hypothermia using 915-MHz microwaves. Rewarming did not cause any significant physiological changes in blood variables, nor did the animals show any visible change while their subsequent behaviour appeared normal. |
