| Abstract | The article discusses various reasons on why people engage in choral singing (CS). One is the development of the sense of community in a performing group. Another is the profound effect of CS on both the singing and the memory of the choral members. Last, is the attainment of the experience of a concentration or centredness similar to that achieved in meditation. |
