| Abstract | Sol. cationic organoiron polynorbornenes with pendent hetarylazo side chains have been synthesized via ring-opening metathesis polymn. (ROMP) using bis(tricyclohexylphosphine)benzylideneruthenium(IV) dichloride (Grubbs' catalyst). The vibrantly colored organoiron polymers displayed wt. av. mol. wts. between 24,500 and 40,900 and exhibited glass transition temps. at 146 and 161°C. [on SciFinder(R)] |
