| Abstract | Between 1967 and 1983, 328 animals (whole carcasses or frozen heads) were examined specifically for rabies in the Diagnostic Pathology Laboratory, University of Ibadan; 232 (70.7%), comprising 218 dogs, 6 cats, 2 caracals (Felis caracal), 2 cattle, 3 sheep and 1 goat, were positive. In 56% of the cases there was a history of human exposure, and some deaths were reported.. |
