| Abstract | The effect of 7 juvenile hormone analogues on the development of larvae of Choristoneura fumiferana was studied in the laboratory at 23 degrees C, LD 16:8 and 65% RH by topical application of the compounds to early 6th-instar larvae. Fenoxycarb showed the highest potential for control, with an LC50 of 0.26 micro g/larva. The relative lethal effectiveness, based on LC50s was fenoxycarb > ZR-9892 > ZR-8487 > S-71639 > methoprene > ZR-9582 > ZR-10151 [the numbered compounds being of unstated composition].. |
